3 Strangers are united in this touching and occasionally comic drama set in Newcastle, Australia and Sebes, Romania. Three lonely lives are intertwined by a quirk of fate: a widowed father desperate to provide a good life for his daughter; a Romanian immigrant (Clara Voda), who has married a man whose personality in his own country is not what she saw in Romania; and a playwright obsessed with vengeful thoughts against a critic, in the darkly comic final leg of the trio.
