Philippines: Drama, 105 minutes
Kalel who’s 15 and still at high school, has just been diagnosed with HIV. Only his mother and his father, a local priest, know. When his mother runs off with her lover, Kalel and his sister are evicted. Kalel goes to see his father for rent money. But Kalel, being 15, is going to spend the money on other things.
Kalel, 15 is a poignant study of a boy whose circumstances are constricting at the exact same time as he is finding himself and his life is expanding in new directions.
