New Zealand: Thriller / Drama, 74 mins
Three homeless kids take a day off, travelling to an island off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand. When they invade a luxurious house that seems to be closed up, they get a major shock when the owner returns. As the night goes from bad to worse, it’s touch and go whether anyone will get out alive – let alone with their souls intact. Paolo Rotondo’s first feature is both a dramatic coming of age and a study of the violence lying beneath the growing divide between the luckless poor and the directionless wealthy.
